A weekend with Silvia Ceriani from Buenos Aires! |
Silvia Cerian was the life- and dance partner of the legendary Maestro Tété Rusconi. At the invitation of Pina Bausch (Wuppertal) in 1995, Silvia & Tété brought the Tango Salón to Europe, and were regular guests in Basel. Following Tété's death, Silvia started teaching in Buenos Aires, the rhythm, elegance and cadence of Tango Salon in close embrace. Silvia is a legendary DJane in the famous milongas "Canning" and "Catedral", and she will also amuse and entertain us here in Basel with her choice of music. On Friday, Silvia will give a talk on the development of tango music.
