The seminar is intended for advanced tango students who have already mastered the tango language. It is an ideal seminar for deepening and improving the quality of movement when dancing.
With exercises specifically designed for tango and inspired by different techniques and somatic disciplines, we will explore the conscious movement and biomechanics of the body to approach the walk, the embrace, the pivot, the turns, the shifts and the changes of dynamics.
We will explore the language of tango dance from both roles, as well as working on the structure of the dance and the different possibilities. Once we understand these concepts, we can improvise with more freedom.
As always, the work will be progressive and extend over 11 hours. It is not essential to attend the course in pairs, but an even number of participants must be present.

Corina De La Rosa is one of the recognised greats in the Tango world. Her tango style is unique and her technique is sophisticated and articulated. She is a tango dancer and choreographer. She earned a degree as a Classical Ballet teacher and began to teach thereafter. She continued her training with Estela Erman and explored the modern dance scene with Cristina Barnils, who has guided her through her movement training and teaching method.
Nestor Ray introduced her to the world of Milonga and Tango in 1995. She was inspired by Graciela González, Rodolfo and María Cieri, and by Julio Balmaceda. She has been working with the late Balmaceda from 1996. De La Rosa has both taught and performed extensively in the United States, Europe and Asia. She has opened the doors for Argentine tango in the world.
As a dancer, she has performed on Broadway, in "Forever Tango", which was nominated for the Tony Awards, and has performed at Carnegie Hall in a tribute to Astor Piazzolla As a choreographer, she was nominated for an ACE award for her work on "Tita, a life in a tango tempo". She has revolutionized the teaching of tango techniques and is considered one of the highest representatives of tango dancing.

- First day: 2 x 1 11/2 hours of lesson on Friday, 28 July, 2023
- Second day: 2 x 2 hours of lesson on Saturday, 29 July, 2023
- Third day: 2 x 2 hours of lesson on Sunday, 30 July, 2023
Friday:
- 7 PM to 8.30 PM - First block
- Break
- 8.45 PM to 10.15 PM - Second block
Saturday and Sunday:
- 2 PM to 4 PM - First block of 2 hours
- 4 PM to 4.30 PM - Break
- 4.30 PM to 6.30 PM - Second block of 2 hours
Course language is English.

The Tango Schule Basel GmbH will carry out the seminar according to the above services.
The TSB can cancel the seminar due to unforeseeable circumstances. Then there are no cancellation fees.
Cancellation costs: 60 days before CHF 50.- cancellation fee, up to 30 days before 50% of the price thereafter 100% of the price.
